I’ve not looked into plugins for IE that much because they tend to be pay options and bolt-on extras, rather than enhancements to existing features. The search and tabbed surfing options listed on the site you linked to, for example, didn’t offer anywhere near the same flexibility and functionality that I can get in FF, and many of them wanted a fee for the privilege.

And where’s theme support?

Overall I’m somewhat underwhelmed by the IE plugins.

You seem to be completely forgetting that Internet Explorer also has many plugins, and people are just as free to modify it how they choose. I’d wager that there are actually MORE plugins, and more technically mature plugins available for IE, since IE plugins have been developed long before Firefox was a twinkle in Mozilla’s eye. You ought to check this out:
