Yes, folks, it’s sad, but I’m excited to hold in my hands (as many of you out there will) the entire Star Wars Trilogy on DVD (is it still a trilogy considering there’s now 5, soon to be 6, films and the possibility of a further 3?).
Approximate time before I rip the cellophane wrapper off and place the first disc delicately into my DVD player: 0.346 seconds.
Now, do I look at the bonus DVD first? Do I watch the movies in order? Do I watch my favourite scenes as fast as I can? Decisions, decisions.

I say have a marathon… invite your friends over and watch them all back-to-back-to-back-to-back-to-back. Make a day out of it or something. If you’re going to be a Star Wars geek, go all out!
Actually, I watched A New Hope the other night and, aside from being a little disappointed the set was the ‘Special Edition’ movies and not the originals and that ‘Digitally Remastered’ seems to mean ‘We cranked the saturation levels up to max’ I didn’t see much new.
Yesterday, I was watching The Empire Strikes Back and had a ‘What the fuck’ moment. Not only does the speach between the Emperor and Vader go on longer and cover more (and the Emperor now has yellow/green eyes and more wrinkles than a shar-pei dog) but they’ve changed the voice of Boba Fett!
Lord only knows what they’ve done to The Jedi Returns.
